LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 15, 2018) – As light rain and snow have continued throughout the day, City crews have been monitoring streets and treating slick spots. Crews will report back at 8 p.m. this evening to work anti-icing operations as needed overnight and into the morning.
Since 5 a.m. this morning, the City’s division of Streets & Roads received 20 calls of fallen trees and branches on sidewalks and roadways. All of these calls were cleared by 3 p.m.

Residents are reminded they can get information on accidents and other traffic issues on the City’s Twitter accounts (@lexwrecks and @lexkypolice). Traffic at major intersections is also available in real time through the city’s traffic cameras at lexingtonky.gov/traffic.
Emergency Weather Plan
The Office of Homelessness Prevention & Intervention Emergency Weather Plan remains in effect through Friday, Nov. 16. The plan includes expanded shelter services and free transportation to shelters.
