The University of Kentucky will temporarily halt administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccines at the Gatton Student Center after recommendations from the Federal Government on Tuesday.
They will continue giving out the Pfizer Vaccine until further guidance is issued about the Johnson & Johnson vaccine by the Federal Government.
This precaution is after 6 recipients of the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, out of the 6.8 million doses delivered, developed Blood Clots within the first 2 weeks after getting the vaccine.
The other UK Vaccination sites, at Kroger Field, University Health Service, its retail Pharmacy and mobile clinic sites. They are using the Pfizer or Modera Vaccines.
