LEXINGTON, KY (May 29, 2018) — Wilson Downing Rd. between Camelot Dr. and Ridgepoint Run will be closed from June 4 – July 15 (weather dependent) to complete stormwater improvements. An undersized culvert will be replaced, and the drainage area will be improved to reduce road and downstream flooding.
Residents who use Wilson Downing Rd. as a pass-through are encouraged to use alternate routes during the road closure. The detour will route traffic through the surrounding neighborhoods. Motorists should drive slowly, and be aware of pedestrians, cyclists and driveway traffic.
· If you are traveling west on Wilson Downing (from Tates Creek), the detour will be right on Ridgepoint Run – left on Spangler – left on Laredo – left on Camelot – right on Wilson Downing.
· If you are traveling east on Wilson Downing (from Nicholasville Road), the detour will be right on Camelot – left on Belleau Wood – right on Wilson Downing.
· Creel Ct. and Allante Brook Dr. will be accessible for local traffic.
